Tom Lynn's Movies
Tom Lynn writing - 08/26/2011 - Dutch Master & I met Mike "Pooh Bear" Prowda in Coopertown the summer of 1970 to see the camp one last time as it was being torn down. John Mercer writing - 08-27-2011 - These are not the Trenton Falls; instead, they are the falls at Ohio Gorge. So the trip to Ohio Gorge was part of the Trenton Falls Trip, but Trenton Falls was the other place - with the hot and cold running showers and one set of falls, then the other set much higher, with the old water line running above it. We stayed the night at Ohio Gorge, but never at Trenton Gorge. Tom Lynn writing - 08/27/2011 - In my lone T-Falls trip (perhaps it was an abbreviated/shortened one around '68 or '69) we didn't spend the night at Ohio Gorge; but spent the night(s?) at "Iwo Hinckley" the "island" in Hinckley Reservoir. I remember also visiting "The Pot Hole" but for some reason I'm not sure if we actually went to the Trenton Falls! Maybe my mind is just a bit too deficient these days...
Tom Lynn writing - 08/26/2011 - I think you can see that the saplings had already started to encroach on the view as Mouldy had not cut them back that year. Not sure if this made me bring the chain saw the next year or if that was a couple of years later when I decided to be Mr. Lumberjack.
Tom Lynn writing - 08/26/2011 - I took some shots of the buildings still at camp (i.e, to be demolished) and those that had been moved to Beaver Valley.
Tom Lynn writing - 08/26/2011 - The Turtle Derby footage, when it's not jumping around too much, is a good opportunity to identify a lot of people that the "last generation" of HBC knows/knew. It's good to catch a brief glimpse of the late Billy Radcliffe. _________________________________________________________________ |
